Music Curriculum at Hope

Hope Christian School's Music Department curriculum begins in 1st grade  with 1st - 5th graders enjoying weekly general music classes, and 5th graders having the privilege of choosing Piano or Band as their twice-weekly elective.

Once the students reach Middle School, they have a selection of several Music Electives available, including VOCALS  |  GUITAR  |  PIANO  |  BAND.

Extracurricular / After School Opportunities

Hope's after school lessons are offered in conjuction with Janow Academy of Music and are available to Hope and non-Hope students alike.  Piano, Guitar, Vocals, and Band twice weekly group classes for Elementary, Middle, and High School students at very modest rates. 

Musical Performances

Music Competitions

Praise Team, Band 1, Concert Band, Mid School Choir, Strings and Guitar, perform at our annual Christmas Concert, Festival of the Arts, and chapels. The Praise Team provides music for Chapel every week.
Each year our HCS High School Students Audition for the NMMEA All-State Music Festival at the University of New Mexico, as well as participate in the NMMEA Music Performance Assessment and Mid-High School Solo & Ensemble Festivals.
