Painting & Drawing

Both Middle School and High School students at Hope Christian School have the opportunity to take Art as an elective.  Middle School has Art I, II, and III, and High School offers a level IV. Beginners are taught the basics of drawing and painting, experimenting with with various mediums.
Art students have the opportunity to explore pottery creations including hand building and throwing on the pottery wheel.  All students are exposed to this activity, and depending on their affinity for it, they spend more or less time on the wheel and more in hand building.
Photography is an elective for both Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers at Hope. Students in this track may choose to focus on photography as a fine art for display in the Festival of the Arts each Spring, or they may prefer to use their skills in the field of Digital Media for Yearbook.
