2021: The Year in Pictures

Coming Home

HOPE was one of the few schools to offer daily in-person classes during COVID. We had to get creative using satellite locations for our elementary students in order to abide by capacity restrictions set forth by the state of New Mexico.

The day we brought the satellite classes home to the main HOPE campus after the restrictions eased was one of the happiest days of 2021! #BestDayEver

A New Beginning

In August we welcomed over 206 new students for a total of 623 students in the NEW elementary building! We broke ground in December of 2019 ... and we all know what happened in the spring of 2020!

God wasn’t surprised by any of it, and construction continued throughout the pandemic. In May of 2021, the building was completed just in time for summer program activities. #GodKnowsBest

Fully Engaged

Summer 2021 marked the launch of our brand new summer program, HOPE Engage!

With all-day camps for Preschool-5th grade students and themed workshops for ages K-12, over 100 students learned new skills through hands-on activities like woodworking, home economics, coding, and more! The response we received from this program surpassed all expectations, and we can’t wait for year two! #HOPEEngage

Yoga, Anyone?

In the Fall of 2021, we unveiled 4 new clubs on the HCS campus! Students as young as 6 years old were able to join Elementary Christian Yoga, while high schoolers have taken part in activities like Pickleball, Arts and Crafts, and Chess.

We are looking forward to the unveiling of more clubs in the future, as many students and parents have expressed their interest in joining! #Clubs&Activities

Approaching 100 State Championships!

After a long and grueling year without athletics in New Mexico, 2021 was a year of short seasons and long-awaited victories. Our high school athletes won state championships in drill/dance, women’s soccer, and boys cross country.

We are currently approaching 100 state championships in high school athletics. Not to mention our elementary and middle school athletics are growing so exponentially that they are expanding into new sports categories! #GoHuskies

Wisdom of the Aged

Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.
~ Proverbs 17:6

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of their grandchildren. Each year, our Elementary campus honors our extended HOPE family in conjunction with National Grandparents Day. This year we were blessed with the attendance of nearly 400 grandparents, over the course of four days to stay in compliance with public health guidelines. Fun was had by all, even our Husky mascot joined the fun in our photo booth! #WeLoveOurGrandparents

Go forth, Huskies!

With each graduating class of 75-100+, Husky alumni scatter and attend colleges, universities and military academies nationwide. And the group of young adults fulfilling the mission of HOPE Christian School - to pray for, equip, and send Christ-centered, passionate leaders to change the world - becomes exponentially more powerful. #GoHuskies #GoForthHuskies!
