Hope Christian School

Letter from Our Chaplain
Perry Floyd - HCS Chaplain

Our school was founded to train and educate the whole person within a distinctive Christian atmosphere.  We focus not only on academics, but on the social, spiritual, and physical aspects of our students.  We want to obey Jesus' command to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  (Mattthew 22:37)

Spiritual emphasis at Hope is found in our Bible classes; each student is enrolled in a Bible class from 6th - 12th grade.  From Preschool our students gather weekly for chapel services, where we worship God together as an elementary, midschool, or a high school community, and hear Biblical teaching.

Annual retreats which focus on developing a faith relationship with God through Jesus Christ are held during the first six weeks of the school year, beginning in 6th grade.  Our goal is to establish a regular habit of reading and obeying the Bible as a way of life for our students.  Many of our teachers, coaches, and adult staff are mentors and role models of the Christian way of life for our students.

Our desire is to serve the families in the Hope community by fostering, modeling, and encouraging a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  Please contact me if I can ever serve your family; it is an honor to function as Chaplain in our community.
