Basket of Hope, is a non-profit organization that delivers baskets filled with toys, games, hats, CD players, inspirational materials, bibles etc. to UNMH's Specialty Unit to children newly diagnosed with cancer or other serious illnesses and smaller baskets to Ronald McDonald House for the parents of neonates staying in the NICU's at Pres and UNMH.All baskets are delivered by trained volunteers. Thr program wa started in New Mexico in 2004 and since that time we have delivered over 900 baskets. These is no charge for these baskets
We are having our Third Annual Walk for Hope to raise monies to continue this program. The walk is to be held on October 16th, at 6440 Coors, NW (Coors and La Orilla-east of Sagebrush church), registration at 0830 and start walking at 0900.
