Question: If Hope is involved in a critical incident and is in lockdown, how will parents be notified and what should parents do?

Answer: The Albuquerque Police Department asks that parents not come to the school if Hope Christian School goes into a lockdown or experiences a critical incident.  This will assist the Police in dealing with the situation. Instead, we ask that parents report to our reunification site, which is the main sanctuary of Hoffmantown Church, located at 8888 Harper Drive NE. If Hope Christian School goes into a lockdown, a member of the school staff will report to Hoffmantown Church. Once there, the staff member will update parents on the incident and will provide parents with the most up-to-date information available on what is occurring at the school. We will also communicate with parents through email on RENWEB. Again, if the school is in lockdown, please do not come to the school as this will impair the ability of police officers to deal effectively with the situation.
