Hope Christian School Milestones

"Attempt something so BIG
that unless God intervenes, it is bound to fail."

These words hung on a banner in an old chapel at the original Hope High School campus almost 30 years ago.  At that time, everything seemed "so big".  God did intervene and the vision o f a non-denominational Christian school in Albuquerque became a reality.

Milestones

1976
Church facility in NE Albuquerque is purchased.  Hope High School opens with 54 students.
1977
Graduation exercises are held for four students from state-accredited Hope Christian High School.
1981 Classes are expanded to include middle school students.
1982 Church property is sold.  Six acres on the north side of the city are secured.  Classes open at present location with grades 1-12.
1983 Kindergarten class is added.
1994 Official name change to Hope Christian Schools, Inc.
1997 Separate elementary campus is established west of the main campus.
2001 Purchase of surrounding parcels of land begins.
2002 Hope for the Future Master Plan begins to take form.
2006 Construction on new Middle School campus begins
2007 Middle School building dedicated and opens doors to grades 6-8.
