Answer: Yes. Parental involvement is encouraged and solicited by many teachers to assist with special lessons/projects, grading, field trips, etc. Opportunities to volunteer for Recess Duty, in classrooms, athletic events, concerts, plays and other activities are open to parents who pass a background check. Parents volunteering to drive on field trips are also required to complete a "Volunteer Driver" form. The background checks are required to be done each year on the academic school calendar (August to July). The cost is $10 per person and you should allow at least two weeks to process. You may pick up forms in the office. Please turn in all your forms to the business office.
Please see page 1 of the Student Handbook for an expanded explanation of Parental Involvement. Also see the Parents section of our web site for more information on ways to get involved, volunteer guidelines and expectations, etc.

Learn more about PSF under the Parents section of our web site for more details on what PSF is, what they do, and how you can get involved!
